"The company is great to work from, especially out of college. The staff is very friendly and want the best for you. In my experience, there is a lot of room for growth and it is encouraged! Many of the other employees stay with the company for decades because it is such an awesome place to work."

Field Sales Manager

"Potential to become a great place to work."

Equipment Services Project Manager

"Working here is barely better than being unemployed. This place really needs top-down change."

What do you like about working at Aon?

"Aon allows employees to telecommute. The technology is improving, there is a good benefits package, and there's free parking!"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Most employees leave due to work-life balance. Unless you're prepared to work 60-hour work weeks, look elsewhere."

What don't you like about working at Aon?

"My dislikes are: no training/development, purely subjective performance reviews, no performance metrics, untrained managers, no quality program, and they cover up mistakes and then lie to clients about it. There is atrocious work-life balance, nasty culture, poor leadership from the top down, no concern for employee satisfaction, and inability to transition to internal roles due to poor staffing in the current department. Improvement initiatives are started and never finished, and employees are terminated without being given feedback."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Senior management should be replaced with leaders who actually have knowledge of operations management, and not just industry experience."

Travel Insurance Claims Examiner

"Regret - wish I were still at my job, as I loved it."

What do you like about working at Aon?

"I liked the variety of claims and the coworkers. The job itself was enjoyable and challenging, and the atmosphere with my coworkers was one of quiet strength."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Make certain that you never get sick or hurt, or have members of your family sick or hurt, or you will be out the door."

What don't you like about working at Aon?

"I didn't like the dependability. I had a serious injury, and after my husband and my son had been hospitalized, that was apparently the third strike against me, and they let me go despite the fact that I had the highest quality rating in the department."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Judge the performance of the work, and not your opinion of the performer. It is better to have spectacular work most of the time, than have average work all of the time."

The benefits were comparable to none, and they really showed you that you were appreciated for a job well done. I also liked the office atmosphere and the professionalism in the office."

What don't you like about working at Aon?
