"The President gave me a chance when I needed a job after coming here to Washington. He understood my experience and trusted it."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"No. I was lucky to interview with the president (who is now gone)We should all be so lucky to interview with someone who is interested in the company and the project----not just his own ego."

What don't you like about working at AMEC?

"I worked for a Project Manager who wasn't very good. Never walked the site' and didn't support me when I had conflicts with the A/E over their design."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"None really. They operated like most CM firms; they have a heavy turnover (everyone seems to be waiting to get out). A few are long termers if they are willing to move around the country."

"Management was very sketchy and didn't really have focus on the people. Way to bottom line driven."

"Get back to the basics. Worry more about the people and less about the money."

"Keep good workers, even they are contrator. can makes people feel the way of equal employment."

"They did not have any planning work in Orange County and lied about it to hook me. Then they had me do marketing for them to get work. Then they laid me off."

"It was ten years ago. They gave me a chance when no one else would."

"Not much I did not like. I just wanted to try out a different place where I would be allowed to explore another aspect of Instrumentation Engineering to be more well rounded."
