"That the company was purchased by a company that knew little about our business. GMAC had a niche market in the GM Family and GM Supplier clientelle. Cerberus saw no value in that and eliminated our department. The GM Family business was not a given and the company lost those clients that were the cream of the crop and was left with subprime customers - not an ideal situation in a declining economy!"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"While GMAC brought value to GM when they needed the cash the most, they should have used more care in the negotiation with a buyer so they could have insured success and value in the future. All of GMAC mortage retail offices nation wide are now closed because the immediate cash flow that was needed by GM few years ago."
