"I have worked at Aetna for a little over 14 years. I decided to take the job based on my father's experiences with healthcare during a long and terminal illness, thinking that I could make things better. While compensation is adequate, and the job is cushy, large companies cannot seem to get out of their own way. Too much process lock, not enough innovation."

"This is the truth, I work at this place and cannot wait to leave."

What do you like about working at Aetna?

"Nothing, the place is run like a concentration camp, so many have been laid off, but many more have left on their own, it is by far the worst place to work. They care nothing for their employees or their customers, employees are threatened several times a day via e-mail about stupid things and are always threatened, they force the pharmacists to check 80 prescriptions an hour and the tecks to type 45 rx's per hour, and they are the lowest paying company in this field."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"LOOK ELSEWHERE, UNLESS YOURE UNEMPLOYED AND FORECLOSURE IS IMMINENT, IF YOU ENJOY WORKING AT THE BOTTOM OF THE GARBAGE DUMP, THEN THIS COMPANY IS FOR YOU."

What don't you like about working at Aetna?

"The company does not care about the employees or the customers, techs MUST type 45 prescriptions per hour, Pharmacists MUST check 80/ hour, the salary for the techs is the lowest anywhere, and the company relies on threats and intimidation to accomplish its goals, they LIE at every opportunity, they tell you what you want to hear and do the opposite."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Aetna has been in the pharmacy business for 5 years and they STINK at it, they dont know what pharmacy is, they want the most work with the least amount of people, they need new management period, from the CEO Ron Wilson, all the way down."
