Working at ACTS Retirement-Life Communities in Matthews, NC: 2 Employee Reviews

Cafeteria Helper

"I used to work in the cafe but found a better paying job. The supervisor in the cafe is horrible, lazy, mean to residents, and makes everyone she works with feel like they are stupid... meanwhile we were doing all the work while she smoked on the dock all night gossiping and trying to get people in trouble. Anyone who has ever worked with this lady hates it. Everyone else I worked with was cool for the most part though. The place is pretty laid back... is a good job when going to school hours are good not too much not too little. Just ask for the weekends though to avoid the supervisor!"

"This was my first job, and while I was there in the beginning they treated me rather well, There are a lot of other people on the waitstaff there who it was their first job as well (mostly female) and well, teenage girls have their qualities that made working there a nightmare on some days. One of them even lied to my manager that I threatened to rape someone. And my manager didn't even reprimand her for lying about it after she admitted to lying about it to a friend who came forward to clear me."
