"Have good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe. Presentation and communication skills are important as you interact with every management level."

"It was a very well planned internship program and I was given responsibilities as a full time employee and was never treated as an intern"

"None- They did a great job in planning my internship program."

"Do not work in IT security until they solve their identity issues."

"To value diversity and new ideas. Try not to recreate AOL at Hilton."

"salaries is weak compared with other same-scale brands, althought they want us to show same performance just like our competitors' workers."

"Dress for a job interview.... Make sure you look the part of what a company expects for representing them."

"The hours were Long... but I enjoyed it and appreciate the opportunity to have worked there."

"I would say that the upper management might have tried to micro-manage a little too much when they had very competent managers and employees. (but they were just doing their jobs, too)"

"once you get in, you better understand you are expendable"

"It's not my field. I would relish for a new opportunity."

"Try to interact with employees more. Try to get the bigger picture, money isn't everything."

"Loved some of my team members who were as dedicated as I was. Great benefits, 401k, emp travel rates. The online training program was developing and has excellent potential. Also loved working with our guests!"

"Three pieces of advice. You can learn a lot at this company, but NEVER get too comfortable. Do the right thing all the time, but still be sure you CYA all the time. And again, every hotel has the same policies and training, but they are very different... a lot of inconsistency."

What don't you like about working at Hilton Worldwide?

"As mentioned before, very inconsistent from hotel to hotel. Even though clear standards exist, poor managers don't follow them and are resistant when made aware of them. They preach some great work/life balance and excellent management skills, so I did learn a lot and grow as a manager. However, I clearly stood out as the only one who actually followed these practices and was quickly ostracized by other managers."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Again it's politics. People aren't promoted on their resumes and performance, they're promoted on how well they can convice their superiors that they are hard working, when their entire team doesn't respect them. Also, each hotel is inconsistent with their quality of staff. Some places have employees with a thick HR file and they're still employed, yet others have no HR file and are fired on the spot without cause. The high-achieving employees feared for their jobs, while the slackers continued to perform poorly."

"I did not like working at Hilton Worldwide. It was just a job to meet a need."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"You cannot interview at Hilton Worldwide. They have outsourced the entire call center from Hemet, Ca over to India. Do not apply to work for Hilton."

What don't you like about working at Hilton Worldwide?

"We didn't get our breaks on time. We were forced to do additional overtime. It was not a call center environment that I would suggest anyone to work in."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Make sure the agents were properly cared for (i.e. proper equipment and ergonomic stations)."

"Working in the hospitality industry, it is important that your personality shines in the interview."

"Extremely long and varied hours, with no incentives. The hours would eventually affect work performance over time."

"Have enough support in base in the event that any department faces staffing shortages."

"Boss a little pushy at times, but that wasn't so bad because he was a good guy."

"Wish Blackstone didn't take over and replace all of the Hilton management with theirs."

"The career path is very flat now and the hours are long."
