"The multiple reductions in work force and outsourcing to India. It was tuff to have to train your replacement."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"At AMD I believe that they were doing just fine and that what was done was a financial issue. I hope that they can market their way into the CPU market a little better. It is tuff to compete with Intel and their marketing budget."

"Altair is great to start out, but you want to move on fast!"
What do you like about working at Altair Engineering?
"I liked how I had no mess around my computer because all the work we did was on the computer. It was nice and clean."
What don't you like about working at Altair Engineering?
"I didn't like the pay and how stubborn my bosses were to upgrading. I didn't like how my bosses didn't communicate with each other before they both assign me tasks that require several days of work. I didn't like how they promised me a raise and I got nothing."

"More communication."

"Diverse group of people with good knowledge and expertise."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Don't get discouraged because responses take too long. Also, sometimes the squeaky hinge gets the oil. Call back a few times and keep your resume in front of the HR eyes."

"It's sort of a behemoth organization - sometimes you feel like you're just a number"

"Remain consistent."

"Work was sporadic. I only got paid if my boss got a client."
