"Overall, a good company. It's privately owned so lots of re-org and RIFs occur to right-size this ship which impacts morale and commitment. Lots of C-levels move in then out as they get promoted."
"I've worked for Veritas since 2017. The pros are: * They expect work-life balance * Corporate stances are laudable. * Management for the most part was good * Their flagship product is dominant in their space * Overall, the people are friendly and the old timers are very knowledgeable Cons: * They are trying to go to IPO or sale. They will lay off to make their numbers look good. * The exec board is too reactionary and Carlye (who owns it) heavy. * Their products are too evolutionary. They have several legacy products that's weighing them down. * Losing too many senior engineers."
"The company has some great products, but they are constantly shrinking and thus losing personnel, which just makes the problems worse. This is being driven by the owners, a private equity company, who are just bleeding the company of profit. This leads to no long term vision. In my view, Veritas will either be sold off at a bargain price to another tech company, or just wither on the vine."
"Veritas is going through a transformation and privately held company. It will great strategy and execution on the product and sales side to get this company to start growing revenues."
"this is a good company to work for"
"I have worked for Veritas since 2003. I found it very family-oriented during my tenure. Everyone that works there is dedicated to making a team effort to assist the customer."
"A potentially great company with some great products, undermined by the requirements put upon it by the private equity company which causes long term self-destructive behavior. It's shrinking, so forget about career advancement."
