"I first started this job back in March of 2018 and I was fresh out of college with a Computer Engineering degree. This has been my first and only “real” engineering job and I have to say, the experience has been phenomenal. Working in the government you get to travel and learn as much as you desire! They encourage you to get your masters and are willing to pay for it! Don’t like what you are currently working on? You can freely rotate to anywhere you desire within the Navy. For example, when i was first hired on I was doing more systems engineering(aka project management), but what I really wanted to be hands on with software engineering. So, I started a rotation where I was developing a government owned Android application that lasted nearly a year. Also, I just finished a 4 month rotation where I was developing a plugin for a desktop application."
