Technical Writer at Telesis Technologies
in Circleville, OH

What do you like about working at Telesis Technologies?

"Technically interesting work and communicative upper management. Produce very cool and interesting products."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Really investigate the stated position and talk to everyone involved in the hiring process before making a decision. The environment is not an easy one."

What don't you like about working at Telesis Technologies?

"Length of my commute and few benefits. No matching 401K. Also, health warning out due to arsenic in water! It also seemed as if there really wasn't enough work to support me at the level I was comfortable at, both in experience and volume-wise."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Look at changing the limited 401K and paid leave policies."

Technical Writer at Cardio Theater
in Woodinville, WA

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"Solid company with a finger in too many pies"

What do you like about working at Cardio Theater?

"The technical challenges were a huge benefit. Seeing that the challenges were never the same gave me impetus to improve my skills in order to better support our customers"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"It's a 'listen and do' not a 'suggest and improve' environment. Unless you're management, your input isn't given the weight it deserves."

What don't you like about working at Cardio Theater?

"Heavy weighting on the input of managers that have never performed the tasks they're charged with managing. Until you've done the job, confidence in your input should be lower than it was with Precor. Input from technicians was given far less value than that of the managers"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Listen to your staff, Find out what it is they're saying, and don't automatically assume it's just a complaint. Often times even if it's a complaint, the cause is a justified one and something that can be learned from."

Technical Writer at Delta Design
in Poway, CA

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"The people are good, the boss trust that we can do the work, and we do."

What do you like about working at Delta Design?

"I really enjoy the job. I love the technical, the mechanical, all of it. A job that lets me combine my skills in a useful and productive manner, and trusts me to be able to do it well."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I don't really. My boss is a good judge of character, and I am sure the others are as well. If you have a clear desire to work there, and are a fit for what they are looking for; you just have to be honest about it. I highly recommend HONESTY."

What don't you like about working at Delta Design?

"My manner of Hire (through Peak Tech) means I will continue to be with out holiday or benifits indifatly. I know of people who stay in this position for over 6 years. There is not really an opportunity for growth or advancement (or even cost of living pay increases) in this situation. This is a downer, but the job is wonderful, and the pay is enough for me to support and pay for the benefits I do not receive."

in Temecula, CA

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"I am proud of the good work done here."

What do you like about working at Cassidian Communications?

"It really is a privilege to work to make the world a better place. My co-workers and I really care about our customers. I'm proud to tell my family and friends that I contribute to making 9-1-1 software."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Many employees are long timers, lifers, who are creative, talented, and would give you the shirt off their backs. I need to move for my health and will miss many good things about this company. Anyone looking for a stepping-stone should skip over this company because good work is only appreciated by the worker bees and promotions from within are rare."

What don't you like about working at Cassidian Communications?

"Financial gain should not be the primary factor for EVERY decision in business. As employees we haven't gotten raises in several years now, but we stay, or at least when we leave it isn't to get more money."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"They stopped listening to us years ago. We're left to encourage each other to do our best work despite management's financial tunnel vision. When we were family owned, we invested in employees, now we only invest in projects."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Good company to work for, my department was never fully funded or supported."

What don't you like about working at Choate Construction?

"Lack of things to do because the Federal Group was never fully supported by the main company."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Do not create a department if you are not going to back it fully to get it on its feet. (Federal Group was created a year ago. Its survival depended on the Manager Eddy Medina to devote time to it. Eddy was never released from the Private side and the whole Federal Group suffered until they disbanded it)."

Technical Writer at TRW Automotive
in Worthington, OH

What do you like about working at TRW Automotive?

"The pay, while it lasted. Other factors were extremely difficult to quantify."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Excuse yourself and get out of there before you are also black-balled. Should have hired a lawyer who could get some restitution. TRW Management neglected to establish the structure which was needed to encompass a state-wide project, which lacked the necessary structure and proper uniformity to cover the wide expanse of a statewide communications system which we were attempting to configure."

What don't you like about working at TRW Automotive?

"I was terminated after only 5 months by a visiting executive who did not even know my name or what I did! Being a contractor consultant, I packed up my old motorhome and headed 1,000 miles back to my shack in southwest Nebraska, and I have not been able to find employment in approximately ten years, perhaps because I may have been black-balled, coupled with the Obama recession looming over the entire country."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Quantify the capabilities of the working class, and implement a much-needed structure, which was missing."
