"Just a lot of fun, the people that I worked with where great folks, they really wanted to make a difference in our civil engineering community. I loved the travel to new places and training people on the software."

"Have fun, you will love working with them, but know your stuff."

What don't you like about working at Eagle Point Software?

"The uncertainty for a future at the company, they where making a lot of changes and cutting way back just to survive when I was there, but hey they are still around today and that is more then anyone thought at the time."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Keep up the good work, grow the company, make the software better, faster, more stable and reliable."

"It is a great company, and very inventive. They encouraged creativity and treated their employees as the most important people in the company."

"Emphasize your desire to work as a team member, rather than an individual."

What don't you like about working at Cisco Systems?

"At the time, there was a requirement to beat analysts' EPS estimates by .01/share each month regardless of the impact to the customer - this could mean pre-shipping uncommitted orders, or holding back others for the next month."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I am in no position to give advice to the senior management of Cisco. They are one of the very few companies that I feel has been run as a first class company since I started interacting with them almost 20 years ago. They have had their ups and downs, but I still have the utmost respect for their senior management. And I can't say that for many companies."

"The product was great, very well engineered. Management was very competent and the work was interesting."

"They got bought. Twice. Now they are Oracle."

"Spin it off, I'd love to work for a great software company again."

"I got to learn and apply a variety of Lean production techniques. There were no limits place on what techniques I could develop as long as they moved the process forward."

"Hire into Sony and avoid coming in via the temp agency."

What don't you like about working at Sony?

"The reluctance to hire people into the organization means losing a lot of very talented people who could greatly benefit the company."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"If someone demonstrates talent and ability, management should do everything in its power to bring them into the organization."
