"We got away from the business principles that built Home Depot into a huge company that focused on providing good products at the best price for everyone, and started focusing on the cheapest products and the quickest way to make a buck. They got away from taking care of their customers and their people."

"Get back to operating the company the way the original founders intended - a company where we take care of each other and provide the best products at the best prices for our customers. This worked in the beginning, and it will work again."

"I enjoyed being to actually focus on the students, for the most part. I also liked the small district feel, after a year, you know everyone and everyone knows you."

"Most prospective teachers are not people of color, so, none of my issues may bother you.Just remember that the students bring more to the table than an opportunity for you to do local peace corps work."

"Because it is so small, the old boys network and nepotism are in full force and opportunities for advancement seem to be based on who's next versus who's most qualified."
