"I loved the work I did as a stylist and the clients I saw, I didn't like how I was stylist, receptionist, cleaning lady, and had to be interrupted while doing my clients and answer phones while doing hair. Took away from my clients and work. You were a stylist in a mass retailing situation, where the shoppers didn't always respect the fact that you were with clients working with chemicals and taking care of those clients. But when I did help the guest shopping, it was fulfilling knowing you were helping people. They make you do free events, do these guests who take part in them ever pay for services? Bottom line, no. Not in my experience in the 3 years working there. So a big waste of time, and I had been booked full and then the salon manager called my appointments without my knowledge and told them I couldn't do them that day, causing me to not make my week and not make money. Instead of just scheduling herself to work the event. If you ever want to be promoted, it's not based on your actual experience or tenure, it's all a NUMBERS GAME. I get that numbers are measured and therefore proof, but not always in quality."
"I love the fact I get to design and be a leader to young designers. I like a taking leading roles in the creative process and design campaigns."
"I love having the ability to be hands on for the entire process of the front-end design and development phase. Having the ability to work with clients from the development of the IA to wire framing and prototyping and the hand-off to the back-end developers allows me to see the bigger picture which makes my designs more effective."
"I love everything about being a senior designer. Sometimes you offer a suggestions but overall the client is the last word on projects."
"I suppose downtime and getting info when doing a project. Working with vendors that can't complete on a deadline."
