"The program manager did not care about my personal development. I was not given the opportunity to apply for a supervisor position, the program manager did not like me and promoted someone who worked for the company for less than one year and had far less experience. I felt heartbroken and ashamed of a company I loved so much. I worked so hard for this company, I volunteered for events, I wrote all the treatment plans for the program and I was designing a training curriculum only to find out i was being set up for utmost failure. Not one person stood up for me, not the administrator, not human resources. They just turned a blind eye as I was harassed out of a job. My message to the management is to implement fair hiring practices and equal opportunity workplace whereas individuals have opportunities to grow and evaluated for skill set and experience, not personal preferences. Failure to promote is a form of discrimination, especially when one can prove they have the skill set, managerial experience and twenty years nursing experience to back it."
