"I can only speak for the one PPG plant I worked in, but based on it, I will never consider working for PPG Industries again. I cannot say this for any other employer for which I have ever worked. If your interview for PPG, keep in mind that you need to constantly be looking for other employment, even after PPG hires you."

"Incompetent Human Resources, petty office politics, lying and cheating facility manager, inept conclusion-jumping co-workers"

"I was released due to job position being eliminated and no other jobs were available at the time...No hard feelings because I truly liked working there and totally understood their position"

"Be prepared for the toughest job you ever had in your entire life with the most stress possible."

What don't you like about working at PPG Industries?

"PPG is cost cutting by having a India group do all it IT processing. They hire 2 Americans to work here and give work to offshore to program and test. Problem is too few on shore employees as there is a 9 hour difference in time to India. You can only work with them a short time in the early morning or at 11 PM at night. If they have a problem in the night they sit till morning."

"Hire more on sight staff."

"My boss is great. He is so humble when it comes to the little man. He treats everybody the same. He never looks down on anyone because of their statues or personalities..."

"Third shift is a boomer, I would have to work it accasionally.."

"At PPG management is okay, but sometimes the great job of some employees goes unnoticed. Some in management are quick to point out the bad job one is doing, and never congradulating a good job well done..."

"Be honest, up front, pay attention to all that is discussed. Ensure you get everything in writing, signed by the interviewer."

"Upper management put to much pressure to do things their way. There was a lot of drama and rumor spreading, did not back supervision and salary."

"Believe in your people, listen to them. Understand people make mistakes and give them the chance to prove themselves"

"Make layoff decisions more by the persons value to the company than his seniority. I was hired for my experience not long ago but released due to lack of seniority. I believe that seniority should not apply to salaried personnel."
