Working at PM Digital in Scottsdale, AZ: 2 Employee Reviews

SEO Strategist

"Very negative experience. Avoid PM Digital."

What do you like about working at PM Digital?

"Not much to enjoy... Good clients That's about it. Sometimes we got free lunches."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Ask about the turnover. Ask if there are raises (employees that worked for a few years there, never saw a raise). Ask when/if employees (not managers) are sent to SEO/Social Media conferences. Continuing education is vitally important in an SEO career and agency. Spoiler: they only send their management to conferences and the management does not teach employees about conference learnings.Look into other agencies - there are plenty of them in Phoenix. Do not go with this job out of desperation."

What don't you like about working at PM Digital?

"The main manager (Sr. Director) interviews well to get people in the door, but after a week or two will bully and harass employees until he kills their spirit. This has led to unbelievable turnover. 10 employees left in a year... in an office of less than 10 people at a given time. The other manager (director) is severely unqualified and would frequently say fake it till you make it. Promotes a cover-your-butt culture. It doesn't matter if you do good work or provide value to the team. They do not value education, innovation or collaboration. Do not help your coworkers there - it is frowned upon. There is no trust or empowerment. Prepare to have your messages and emails read; even personal ones to your spouse or significant other."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Corporate management in NY: Your Scottsdale Office is a toxic work environment due to the current management. They are rotting the incoming employees and creating a hostile work environment.Scottsdale management: Trust your employees. Do not over-promise. Actually manage by working together not tearing down and bullying."

"Sometimes we'd get lunch brought in. (once a month or so)"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Run the other way. Honestly, you will hate it. You will find that there are a number of other agencies in the Scottsdale/Phoenix Area."

What don't you like about working at PM Digital?

"Only potential for growth if you can outlast everyone else - incredible turnover. While interviewing you will be wow'd and impressed that it is a fun place to work, but the honeymoon will quickly end in a week or two.Inept management. No guidance or support. Little training. Manager would frequently say Fake it 'till you make it! as a personal motto. Management watches all messaging with coworkers and family. No trust.Serious cover your butt culture.Too far removed from senior management and HR in New York.Management would repeatedly over-promise to clients then provide no support when needed to complete tasks. If you don't work 50-60 hours per week, you're looked down upon."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Trust your employees. Help them grow. Promote education and ideas.Don't treat employees and clients as a means to an end."
