"My Sales Manager was wonderful. The company was large but had a family feeling. The products they offer are competitive and comsumer friendly."

What don't you like about working at PHH Corp.?

"The underwriting software was unreliable. Underwriting was difficult to communicate with. I started on a salary and once the mortgage business died down they put us on straight commission which was impossible to live on. The work hours even though from home were long compared to the income."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Put the Mortgage Consultants on a salary plus commission. Hire people they trust to make the calls and work the territory."

"Sr. management made some major bad decisions with costs employees millions of dollars lost in stocks and 401K as well as layoffs from 6000 employees to 2900."

"They need to listen to the people who are bringing in the money, not the people inside who are costing them money."

"The lay offs! you would come into work and hear that lay offs were happening today, and you had to hold your breath and hope that you were not included."

"They seemed to either be adding employees or laying them off. they need to get their base employees and keep them. Experienced employees are always a good thing to have."
