"I had to quite to get away from my manager because HR wouldn't help me."

What do you like about working at NetSuite?

"They have some great programs for employees, but the muddy it all down with corporate regulations. They advertise they have pet insurance, but it's really only a 5% discount from one, rather expensive, pet insurance provider. Not really a benefit."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't work for the retail vertical. Just stay far, far away from it. The Colorado and Boston offices seem like they have some good things going on."

What don't you like about working at NetSuite?

"Management is pretty bad. Some offices and departments have good managers, but NetSuite seems afraid to fire anyone, which means they keep bad managers who don't stand up for their employees. HR won't help. They have policies in place to prevent things like nepotism, but if you inform HR that there is a family member reporting to another of their family, HR won't lift a finger."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management needs to offer better training, especially when acquiring another company. They assume (quite falsely) that managers from an acquired company have any clue on how to manage, and chances are good that they don't. The corporate component just makes them worse managers."
