"I met and worked with a lot of interesting persons whom I still keep in contact with today. These individuals help me through my difficult time working as a PM for Nassau County."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"None just I hope things have changed over the past years and the best of luck. Make sure your are a civil service appointment and not a provisonal appointment"

What don't you like about working at Nassau County, NY?

"I did not like the political appointments (friends, nieces, cousins of commisioner's and/or legislators). of uncertified PM's being hired at higher pay scale than someone like myself who was a certified PM. Political corruption in regards to RFP's Request for Proposals with contracts being awarded to friends or family members within Nassau County Legislation.Overall this was not a great place for advancement but a good learning ground to hone your skills."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Hire experienced IT Personnel for skill required positions. The former Commissioner of IT at the time Craig Love's father was golf partners with SuozzI he had no formal training or experience in IT yet he was allowed to run that department after several transfers from other departments where he was unsuccessful."
