Working at Mirus Secondary School in Hesperia, CA: 1 Employee Reviews

Mirus Secondary School Employee

"This was probably one of the worst places to work at. The school’s slogan is to “change lives,” but in reality they are hurting students by “helping” them. The students constantly complain of not getting the appropriate help. The teachers are always complaining and whining. The work environment is so hostile. The leadership is a major fail. If you do not do what the principal wants, he becomes very passive aggressive. The CEO is also like this. They know how to sell the position but working here is not worth the money nor time. Get experience elsewhere. Several employees are convinced that the school is great. If you have ever worked in education, you will see why this school is not a great fit for students or employees. They are not friendly, caring or helpful. There are 2 great teachers and the rest are very hostile and judgmental. Go elsewhere. They expect their employees to do an immense load of tasks - and if they are not completed - they look at you as incompetent. The school does not provide employees with appropriate seating or tools. They think that by providing training every couple of months that it is a “job well done.” Let’s just say that the higher ups and CEO are getting the paycheck you deserve. Run and spend your energy elsewhere."
