"I've been with Microchip since 2018. I have learned lots of competencies as a Failure Analysis Engineer. The number of training available is not much since you need to learn from the available specifications. No formal training is available for new hires. A Buddy system is implemented to be able to learn, then, you are good to go. The salary is so-so. Provincial rate is applied. Some of the managers tend to micromanage which could be considered as a hindrance in the long run since employees cannot unleash the most of their potentials."
"Microchip is a great place to work."
"The company is basically a socialist company. There's no opportunity to set yourself apart because they use a "spread the butter" approach to compensation, which is also very, very minimal (everyone gets somewhere between 1% and 2.5% raises), and it isn't even guaranteed every year. They try to wash out the compensation through various "Evergreen" programs which basically results in allowing an extra trip to the grocery store every few months. Job growth is also seemingly impossible and they don't value the high contributors, allowing them to leave to competitors without any fight."
"Don't wan't to share a review!"

"I have worked for Microchip for about 3 years. I first worked on a PIC24 device which was close to other high level processors I have used. I then transitioned to working on PIC18 devices which had a small learning curve. I have since transitioned to working on PIC12/16 devices with a whole new learning curve."
