"I've loved running LS. It has been a rich experience with personal and profesio."

What do you like about working at LoneStar NDT?

"I started LoneStar NDT for several reasons. A. I wanted to be a larger part of the local industrial base. B. I wanted to provide good jobs for the people in my home town so they do not have to travel to make a living and could spend more time with family. C. I wanted to make LSNDT the best in the industry and provide a wide variety of services that you generally can not find under one roof in other similar companies. D. I wanted to make money."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"A. Do not wear a tie to the interview. Wear a button down shirt and slacks.B. Be confident in your experience but avoid the trap of self promotion.C. Be honest. LSNDT does not run background and or credit checks on prospective employees but if found later that you did not give an honest accounting of yourself, the end result will not be pretty.D. Show passion for your industry. Show enthusiasm for the career track you have chosen."

What don't you like about working at LoneStar NDT?

"It is hard to pin down anything I do not like about LSNDT. I think what made me decide to sell the company is I became bored with the actual day to day operations. I spend far more days now administering the company than actualy doing field work."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"For incoming management I have offered my best advice for maintaining the company and continuing growth. First and foremost the company and its inspectors and engineers must be honest and maintain ethical behavior. Never let a client down by telling him/her what they want to hear but tell the absolute truth even at the cost of the account. In the inspection industry your reputation is your number 1 priority, without a reputation for honest ethical practices you are done."
