What do you like about working at KBR?
"I used to enjoy the work I do but the culture has degraded to the point where I don't actually do that work anymore and have become something of a technology errand boy. This is an unofficial change so I can't actually complain. I have a supervisor who managed to get control of my project because it will help him and the department he runs. I am forced to make decisions and produce, based on what benefits him rather than our larger user base. When I complained of this, I was told I needed to find a way to make it work."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"The only way you can have a good experience at this company is to be related or know someone in authority. Out of all the people I know, only those related to someone in management have received a raise higher than the rate of inflation. There is a reason why we say KBR stands for Kinfolk, Brothers and Relatives."
What don't you like about working at KBR?
"As sad as it is, there is currently nothing I like about it."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"There are too many to list, but my primary suggestion would be that management learn that you can regard people the same way you do a printer or other physical assets."
