Equipment Services Project Manager

"Best company I have worked for!"

What do you like about working at John Deere?

"The people, their commitment to quality (and innovation), a great working environment, and people are outstanding and strive for excellence!"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you can get a hold of the Deere Employee Manual before an interview you will learn about the companies commitment to its shareholders, employees, and the products they build - if you are a good fit - you will do fine in an interview ... but maintain your composure!"

What don't you like about working at John Deere?

"The company is located in the midwest and having moved around the country a lot - I think this hurts the company in its ability to attract top talent."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"RIFs are just like anything else, a cost of doing business, and you always handle them well - however - I would setup a program/effort to capture some of the experience that walks out the door - so the loss isn't as enormous as it has been over the last couple of cycles."

What do you like about working at John Deere?

"Ineffective middle management; employee concerns not addressed by direct supervisors"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Remove the good old boy way of promoting; instead, promote the people who are well respected by others and are competent employees"
