"What I do not like about working at Wal-Mart is that one can quikly burn out in any given job, not becouse the job itself is difficult, but becouse Wal-Mart is retail."

"Be open minded and listen to your assosiates, just like Sam Walton did during the humble beginings of Wal-Mart."

"I worked in the back and coworkers were my customers. I enjoyed the freedom of the job."

"I do not really have any grievances. I moved on to a smaller company because of higher pay."

"Was close to where I lived."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Yes, this is an entry way into this type of business. They have the lowest compensation plans and an aggressive management style but will train and if you are good at what you chose to do then within a year you will find better paying jobs in the industry. Their employee turn over is higher than any one else in a field where turn over is traditionally high."
What don't you like about working at AutoNation?
"Micro managed from Florida with little understanding of what their money has bought and little understanding of the regional needs of a business."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Eliminate most of the regional offices as they are simple enforcers of market managers over 3000 mile away."

"Fill out your application COMPLETELY your pay is based on how much experience you have. You get points for every place you worked and the computer determines your starting pay."

"They do not pay very well."

"Some of the department managers need more experience in their respective department. Be careful when promoting, looks can be deceiving."
