"Arrogance Begets Decline (Especially in Tough Economic Times)"

What do you like about working at Impact Communications?

"In the beginning, the working environment was very good. That deteriorated over time. Howard Kroplick, the President and Founder, was a very kind man; he's no longer affiliated with the company, I understand."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Look around."

What don't you like about working at Impact Communications?

"Systemic issues regarding process that were never addressed, a declining concern for product quality, an increasing need to work longer hours with no compensation, and comparatively low pay."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I covered all of that in my written evaluation at the end of my working experience there. My understanding is that none of those issues were addressed. In a nutshell, many process policies should be driven by the experience of those who actually, on a day-to-day basis, work to create the product on which the company is based, rather than by higher-ups who, for political or turf reasons, make policy that, while perhaps satisfying their personal interests, don't best serve the larger needs of the company or most staff. Decisions made by the Partners there were particularly troubling."
