"I worked for Hayes Locums for about a year. They seem very shiny from the outside but are a mess once you get in the doors. Extremely poor leadership, run by the three owners who micromanage far too much to enable their company to succeed. There is very much a mindset of 'this is the way we have always done things, to the detriment of finding new solutions and more efficient methods that would lead to success. They are heavily paper-based, in a time when there are multitudes of technology options available, as well as when all their competitors have already made the transition. Hayes is run like a boiler room- they bring in young consultants with little to no experience through a very abrupt and poor hiring process. They get a couple of months grunt work out of them paying little to no commission, and let them go at the drop of a hat. The potential is there, but ownership stands in the way as does the refusal to take steps necessary for scaling. Training and IT are some of the only solid teams at this company."
