"I worked with Guaranteed Rate since the beginning of the Pandemic. I've had good supervisors there and an even better group of teammates. Created some lifelong friendships there. Guaranteed Rate is a fast, growing company, with limitless potential."
"GRA was a great place to work. Unfortunately, I was laid off."
"Fully remote Loan processor. This was a great experience. The company's technology is superior to any I have ever used. Highly recommended."
"I worked at GR almost 2 years. Things seemed great and there were a lot of promises made, which never made it to fruition. Around Jan ‘21 things went south. We saw multiple rounds of RIFTS without cause, departments couldn’t function due to intense turnover (a huge percentage of new employees quit within 3 months), producers and processors complained recruiting promises were not held up, bigotry was shown consistently by the CEO and trickled down, harassment wasn’t addressed, promotions were dependent not on performance but who sucked up and was there the longest, Managers heavily micro-managed high-performers for no reason, etc. Leadership is unprofessional and ill equipped; excellent leadership isn’t given the respect they deserve. More problems are created than solved. Competitive pay on teams doesn’t exist… I found out a person who was with GR a couple years more than me, but in the exact same role as me, was making DOUBLE MY PAY! Benefits are sufficient, only 5 holidays, low PTO they tell you to use (but don’t give you the space to do so), etc. I would never recommend GR to a friend."
"I have worked for guaranteed rate for 2 1/2 years. What I love about this company, they will take a chance on you. They believe in their employees and will allow you the opportunity to grow and advance."
"Guaranteed Rate is an amazing company that pushes you to grow and learn new things"
"The worst company to work for. They will not pay you. Teams and teams of people walk out. They act like a cult and try to manipulate their communities by acting like they are doing acts of kindness when it reality they are stealing employees money to pay for the events and then writing it off as a business expenses. Do not get a mortgage here. They pretend to care and share your personal information with other buyers who want to raise your rate and charge you thousands of dollars in points. Horrible company hands down"
"Owning decided they would merge with Guaranteed Rate, The training on their system was ok, With any merger or partnership there will be some kind of lay off. I wasn't getting that much work so I didn't get a chance to prove what I could do. Last one hired, 1st one fired. A lot of favoritism."
"Very good company to work for!"
"I worked for Guaranteed Rate for 3 years and it was a joy to be there. The culture and atmosphere of the company was great."
"Great Company is overall with amazing core values."
"Guaranteed Rate has been a fantastic start to my career in the mortgage industry. Guaranteed Rate is one of the largest correspondent lenders in the country. They follow their core values to a tee. While the company is very successful, they have a large disconnect between leadership and their employees. They are not afraid to change their structure to ensure the company is benefiting while their employees may suffer. Leadership hides behind managers and does not accept feedback. They claim to have the best rates, while numerous other companies tend to have better. There is a large issue with communication within and when it comes to pay. Accounting does not respond well with issues. When compensation or pay is involved they do not make it a priority. The technology GR offers, is one of the finest in the industry. They have multiple products that other companies do not have."
"Fast growing company that rewards people for their contributions to the success of the company and focuses on serving local communities."
"Good company, but they do massive amounts of hiring when the work is plentiful and as soon as it slows down they do massive amounts of layoffs."
"Not a position I was passionate about. Looking for something that has more of a significance in terms of the product I'm selling and the impact of that product."
