"The owners are far too greedy to the point you are considered to be a money making machine, not a person with aspirations or career needs. The owners do not care if you are happy or are doing relevant work to your skills and background. They also give less competitive costs of living annual reviews and typically give out the same percentage to the entire staff. At my point it was 2% for everyone regardless of effort, background and skills. Ambition is better served with another employer with limited upward progress. You are simply a way for them to make more money, without consideration to work contract agreements. They will also put you into tasks outside your job duties to keep you billable, regardless if you are happy or not. I had mostly 3 years of mostly irrelevant and mundane work I was forced to do when no media projects were available to do. They do not have a plan for each employees expertise, so many of the employees are better suited elsewhere. The lack of ethics includes: lack of honoring of work contracts, the companies ambitions to take over other client relationships, and many other problems. The shadow appears farther different. When an employee still does work to keep employment that is entirely out of the work agreements it’s fair to assess any employee as easily replaceable. I had seen employees terminated after putting in a 2 week notice and others laid off when there was a newer potential employee for less salary. Or laid off when they expressed concerns about work out of work contracts. They also listen in on employee phone calls, and monitor email and computer activity. Find someone else who can honor privacy and you as a person."
