"The main reason that I became a financial analyst was to help people to deal with their money. It is really quite amazing how little most people know about looking after their money and it really isn't their fault, nobody teaches them. This is the biggest thing that got me into this career; I wanted to learn more about how to manage my own money. This required me taking a number of courses which soon put me on the path to becoming a financial advisor. It was also pretty obvious that a lot of people desperately needed help which is something that I really wanted to do. The biggest part of my job is to sit down with my clients and talk to them about their financial goals; this can be really eye opening. In many cases people have goals that they have no idea how to achieve and in many cases their goals are completely unrealistic. Working with them to get them on the right track to meet their goals is a very rewarding part of the job of being a financial advisor and it is something that I really enjoy doing."
"Numbers tell a story. It's the financial analyst's job to interpret and articulate it to others, much like operators in The Matrix. The compensation is also a nice perk!"
"Helping people and companies do the best they can."
"I really love to work with computers, and working as a Financial Analyst limited me. Also, I love to solve problems, but as financial analyst all my work is around numbers."
"It is a simple job. Explaining and reporting to executives is where the stress comes in."
"I would recommend employment at Ferrero to anyone mostly because of the work environment and the passion that each employee exudes."
"I love problem solving and reaching new goals."
"I love to work with numbers, and the most important thing is that your work makes the difference in the company, it helps the leaders of the company to make important decisions, so you have to do a great job and improve it every day."
"Too many last minute changes on a tight deadline that provided no work life balance."
"Direct customer contact can be a little frustrating, but I love working with numbers."
"Being able to analyze operational information to help a manufacturing company operate more efficiently is very satisfying to me."
"What I love is the satisfaction of the customers and helping them solve their most difficult situation. The drawback is the lack of advancement within the organization."
"Being a financial analyst gives me the ability to help the customers solve complex problems. The only drawback is there is not much chance of advancement."
"I love numbers and data mining. I also really enjoy finding mediums to make information understandable to the people who need to use it to make decisions.I hate it when people modify accounting code processes for things without taking into account the ripple effect on reporting processes that are already available. There are often easy solutions to coding exceptions when people get together to discuss alternatives and solutions."
