"It was simple, cheap work. The CEO had a tendency toward bad ideas."

"Reel in the CEO when he has a bad idea. Let the employees have sandwiches."

"Cleaning dishes was a very zen job, but beyond that the only saving grace was a few of the personalities"

"Work my way up to hold actual experience instead of running a restaurant by numbers"

"The compromise that must be made between the fast speed needed for cleaning dishes compared to the cleanliness of dishes that are cleaned."

What do you like about working at Black Diamond Grill?
"I enjoyed the people I worked with and the customers I had met. The place at first was my so-far favorite restaurant I had ever worked in and at first I saw myself confident of success. The food was great but over-priced."

"I would not suggest to anyone to apply for employment with this restaurant."
What don't you like about working at Black Diamond Grill?
"The owner was constantly ill with me for no reasons other then personal angst. I had never received proper training and what little I did there was a language barrier. When I started working prep I was expected to be as fast and effective as everyone else even though it was my first non fast-food restaurant job. When it took me seven hours to complete all prep by myself I was talked down to and my hours were adjusted. I was also unimpressed when I learned that what we sold as grouper was actually a different, more affordable fish' yet priced to sell as something else. As well, when I worked in the dish-pit I noticed an odd rash form on my arms. When I asked about it I was told to buy my own industrial gloves. I later found out the dish washer used heavy chemicals other then hot water to sanitize. I have no doctor information but I believe the rash came from that chemical. I finally left because I was tired of there always being an issue between me and the owner, mainly ill with his inability to properly handle my deserved and worked for income. Hours were never consistent though they never really are in this industry."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The shift managers all did their jobs well. My only concern is with the owner and what seemed to be his inability to deal with me as an employee in a professional manner."
What do you like about working at Bombay Co.?
"I liked doing prepcook and cleaning the place up.I was off on weekends"

"come in prepared for the interview. listen good to what they have to say"

"On busy nights they didn't have enough workers to do the job"

"Have more people helping each other out in the work place.Communicating on what needs to be done"
What do you like about working at Hammerhead Bar and Grill?
"I enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant and how unstressful the work environment is even when the business became very busy (usually on Fridays at the time). My boss was a friendly guy and was laid-back, which helped a bit with my enjoyment of the job."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"That person will be expected a lot from if they choose to work there (especially in my position), but this is a natural assumption that should be made for any job."
What don't you like about working at Hammerhead Bar and Grill?
"In all honesty, I cannot think of anything that I didn't like / was bothered by with the company. The employees did their job well, and in a professional manner, the work policies were agreeable, and the job wasn't overdemanding and didn't tack on unnecessary side-tasks to make up for work others would have normally been assigned. This is a good practice for any business."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"To be honest, there's nothing in particular that I would suggest. The only reason I didn't absolutely love working there was because of the nature of my position, which is not the company's fault."
