I have worked at Denny's for five years. My co-workers and the atmosphere provided by the management makes my job more like a second home. The regular customers, which Denny's has a lot of, always make me happy to go to work. I am a single mother and Denny's has always been faithful to working around my schedule as a single mom and full time student. They have always been encouraging and fair. The tips are also far better at this diner than any of the other fancier restaurants I have worked at.

As a server you always dread that one rude customer that is always bound to come in. Luckily, my training at Denny's has taught me how to handle those situations in a professional and curteous way.

Most Denny's are open 24/7. I would just suggest to make sure that your grave-yard waitress is never left alone and that they are offered adequate training and security that is necessary for working the could-be dangerous night shift. Just always be prepared.

The best job I have ever had.

I was shy before I was a server at Denny's so don't let fear hold you back. If you're trying to get through college too than this is a great job. They do very well with working around schedules.
