"The pay scale for a CSX track inspector is agreed upon by the company and the union. Rate of pay is 32.50 per hour, overtime after 40 hours. $1 shift differential and a continuity bonus of up to $3000 yearly after the 3rd year. This is an excellent job. "The job is hard work and long hrs but it is worth it. Remember that safety is always a priority and if you are not safe this job will kill you."

"Coming to work scared, a work environment is supposed to be comfortable, not tense."

"They hire people to move and deliver freight, let them do their jobs, don't make the employees uncomfortable, give them incentives to come to work and do the job right, not write up for every little thing you can nit pick at."
