"Great pension. Honestly, that was about it. Very little else was worthwhile."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Plenty of other insurance companies out there who are worth your time."
What don't you like about working at Country Financial?
"It is completely a good ol boys club there. You can advance easily if you are buddies with the in group.. Talent is secondary. I've seen some major league schlumps get promotions that leave a lot of people shaking their head. It's a small company, who believes they are massive. Micro managing is their specialty. They have closed a regional office, and have downsized several people. Not a very good company IMO. The united way fundraisers are a great way to get in good with management...since they force donating down your throats, and make notice who gives and who doesn't."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Clean house. Get rid of the middle to upper management levels that are simply collecting a paycheck. Give your employees a say."
