What do you like about working at CNN?

"We were given the opportunity to explore, to pitch ambitiously, to work with experienced editors who helped us hone our techniques. I'm definitely a better writer and reporter because of that internship. I even had a story included in a congressional briefing on the BP oil disaster."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Even if you don't have a digital background, you can still be competitive. They're looking for reporters. That said, I did have to learn/relearn some programs while I was there, including Audacity and Final Cut."

What don't you like about working at CNN?

"I'm not the best when it comes to networking. Corporate environments scare me a little, but I'm getting better."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"As I said, I loved my editors. My only suggestion to some of them would be to stay in touch!"
