"I worked as a graduate research assistant under Prof Asim Smailagic in last summer where I worked on Diabetic Retinopathy detection. I conducted research on highly efficient methods of learning in the field of medical image analysis for pre-processing data to improve the retinal image quality assessment accuracy for Diabetic Retinopathy(DR) detection and enhanced the detection of disease causing lesions in retinal images by colour balancing them with U-net segmentation and achieved 82.6% accuracy in the classification of retinal images into pathological and normal images by training the Res-Net."
