"Working at Criswell in Gaithersburg, MD"
What don't you like about working at Chevrolet?
"The politics make it almost impossible for a newcomer to make enough hours/money to make a living. There are an elite few technicians who are shown very preferential treatment when it comes to distribution of work. Allowing technicians to distribute the work to fellow technicians may seem like a team-building way of doing business but in reality gives dishonest people an easy way to make a disproportionate amount of money. There is little to no oversight on distribution of work."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Management needs to seriously reconsider the flat-rate pay system. Consideration, and/or implementation, of team-pay style systems should be considered. Many technicians don't like it because they prefer to work only for themselves. However, implementing team pay will weed out those who do not have the customers best interests in mind and allow the team, not the individual, to become more productive."
