"Working at Buffalo state college has been a good experience."
"I've worked with Buffalo State College for more than 3 years,in a time in young students lives that leadership and being a mentor was very important. I've had different supervisors along those years and i have an incredible relationship with each and every one of them. I was getting free room and board as well as free stipends. The lifestyle of a resident assistant is pretty simple,be a leader and a role model whiles trying to fulfill your personal goal of getting a degree. You live in the same space as your residents so you will be in charge of maintaining rules and regulations for the safety and making sure everyone is comfortable in the building. I have a very great and respectful relationship with my co-workers. I know we will all chosen for a reason and if we play our roles individually well and come together as a team we tend to achieve the intended goal at a very high success rate. I have a fair amount of control, but it's in between letting other co-workers be able to establish themselves and respect with the residents. As a lead resident assistant, it was my job to lead the team and some of my responsibilities include being a good listener, encouraging my new co-workers and helping them find their voice and utilizing their strengths that got them the job in the first place. There's the ability to improve and move on as i served as a resident assistant in my first 2 years and ended up being one of the lead resident assistants during my last year due to my experience and knowledge of the job. I think the appeal for me was great, i love to have an impact on people's lives so it was something that kept making me wanting to come back and do the job."
"I worked at CDHS as an intern, and I really enjoyed the work environment. The people are all really kind and it's really relaxed. As an intern I learned a lot from assisting the technical support department and got to work on some neat projects. Overall it was a great experience."
"Nice place, but no vision."
