"Stressful, poor communication, low pay"
What do you like about working at Bright House Networks?
"Benefits were great, co-workers were tremendous. Clean environment, mostly new equipment."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"The company will make you feel like a million bucks, picking you up in a limo, taking you to lunch, etc. Hiring manager may make promises he or she can't keep. Be wary of the rah-rah we're the greatest talk. They aren't all that."
What don't you like about working at Bright House Networks?
"Serious disconnect between employees and management. Always felt like management only wanted to listen to select people--usually other newsroom managers. No opportunity for advancement or enrichment. Very stressful, lots of OT, poor advance scheduling. Good number of young managers who have not learned to deal with people. You will also have to sign a three-year contract with a no-compete clause, even off-air, low-salary employees."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Listen more to your employees and stop thinking you know everything. Don't hire experienced employees, then waste them with menial, entry-level work."
