"Working at ANP Lighting for years has brought a lot of different changes to how things are done in the lighting industry. Management is comprised of an old fashioned family ownership between two brothers who view business differently as it is shown daily through conflicts in company progress and the workload. Employees are the essential part of this company can function as a lot of the success is based on tribal knowledge in manufacturing, yet employees are not given the proper acknowledgment nor pay. Raises are a hassle to fight for and almost non-existent as well as a stable office structure as most employees are handling multiple positions to get through each day. Management can be very dismissive even with an "open door policy" and do not take employees very seriously. Employees manage to treat each other as family as most are senior-ed so the atmosphere is not cluttered in competitive advancement culture. There is a great divide between shop and office culture stemming from exploitation which impacts productivity and "team" agendas however employees still remain respectful to one another. Owners are oblivious to structures and actual daily tasks which leaves them out of touch for actual employee involvement. Employee incentives do not come from raises/bonuses or promotions but rather the complacency in their jobs being secure as long as daily obligations are met. Great company to start with and learn the ranks of manufacturing or trade skills, but can become a dead-end to those seeking career advancement or real growth."
