"I have to relocate to Little Rock, Arkansas. I'd prefer to stay on the west coast."

"I worked from home as a remote office and I was able to get lots of things done without distractions from a typical office environment. I also liked the variety of my work."

"I hated that ALLTEL was purchased by another wireless company which ended up disposing of ALLTEL's original employees."

"Don't limit the employee to just one area of skills."

"OK unless you need a job permanantly."

"Good about not locking down network unneecessarily (no crazy firewall settings)"

"Don't go in thinking this is a career - it's not."

"No employee/employer loyalty. Everyone only a billable hour. Layoffs are a monthly concern throughout the compant."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Keep your good people by paying them well and NOT making them a defacto contractor. Benefits were great, but the job insecurity made it not worth it!"

"I am no longer an employee of Alltel. I have not worked there in 10 years. I wanted to move up in my career and sought employment at another location."

"The best advise is to be aware of your own career goals and make your own decision based on those goals."
