What do you like about working at Vancouver Island Health Authority?

"Benefits are exceptional, pension is exceptional and vacation policy is exceptional."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't unless you enjoy high stress and no clear direction."

What don't you like about working at Vancouver Island Health Authority?

"There is too much infighting, politics and no clear direction. It's like a barrel of monkeys."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I believe there is a serious disconnect between senior management and the front line workers. I won't say it is their fault or anyone's fault. Working in a hospital environment has multiple conflicting demands from everyone so I really have nothing constructive to say on how to bridge that gap. I truly believe senior management is doing the very best job that they can given the internal and external forces at work."
