6 Executive Directors from Republican National Committee submitted salaries.
The Republican National Committee (RNC) is an American political organization which bills itself as the hub of all information pertaining to the party. Its roots go back to 1856, when it was created to organize a national convention prior to presidential elections. By 2011, it had reached a membership of 168 people. It is a main fundraiser for the GOP, funneling money to support Republican candidates at every level of politics.
The RNC is headquartered in Washington, D.C. In addition to fundraising, it is also responsible for developing and promoting the party's platform on every issue from gun control, abortion and foreign policy to trade, environmental and energy policy. During the contentious election season of 2012, the RNC raised more than $100 million per month to support presidential candidate, Mitt Romney.
The RNC employs a varying number of political operatives, liaisons and consultants during peak election seasons. Resumes for these positions are always under consideration, though employment periods tend to be brief. Salaries tend to be generous, and benefits depend upon the level of organization that is hiring. Expense accounts, per diems and transportation allowances are not out of the question, though not always provided.
Controller is the highest paying job at Republican National Committee at $100,000 annually.
