Move Chris out of Sales and into Operations. Sales is overrepresented in key leadership positions, which is a self-perpetuating cycle in most companies, and is even more pronounced in an IT company, where Operations is mostly comprised of less charismatic people. Chris is charismatic and dynamic enough to swing the entire dynamic one way or the other all by himself.Think of it this way; if the product is good enough, you don't need a hard sell. If the product quality drops enough, no amount of selling will succeed. Chris needs to be focused on product quality, not sales.
