"I have worked for CaptionCall for 2 years. Great people who work there with an amazing product that's really changing the lives of the people who use it. Company makes changes pretty quick and often, so be ready to roll with change when it comes at you."
"Captioning agents tend to be introverts since the job requires a lot of focus, which leaves little time for socializing. The extroverts at the company tend to end up in training and supervisory roles since they have more opportunities to interact with others. The pay is okay if you're working for the experience, but pretty bad if you have rent to pay."
"Worked for years as a Director level employee. Frustrating changes impacting some very good people."
"85% of the TL's didn't earn their jobs, when the company puts on an event you get to enjoy on YOUR break time or lunch, thanks, watching the TL's not care about there job and talk%$#@ about you. YOU have to watch your screen , but TL's can stare out the window for 5 min, no they're not better, they're allowed to not do there job correctly, regular people see this and quit."
"85% of TLS did not earn their position, toxic, micro aggressive bullying, BS standards no one can comply with. the TLS protect there status by setting you up to fail so they look good reprimanding you. intentionally made to fail, don't worry we have unlimited people waiting to replace you. 2 faced back stabbing TL's who want to see you fail everyday. oh that's right, you couldn't even do the BS you expect me to do. TL's Talk %$#@ about you and their job but fake a smile when there manger is around. CA's see this and quit"
"Sometimes you feel over paid, other times under paid. Depending on your personality type, will determine your length of employment. Making it, is all up to you, you can advance "BUT" its a big but, of course not enough promotions to go to everyone, so, its a cutthroat environment. Back stabbing 2 faced fake sup's who intentionally train you wrong to look good for reprimanding you. 85% of sup's didn't earn there job. BS expectations that no one can achieve. The sup's couldn't work under there own expectations of you. The majority of regular workers (you know, the ones that actually make up company) are disregarded as expendable trash. Yet we have a hiring fair every other month, because management allows this behavior. and people quit after a few months, because they see that the sup's don't care for them or there jobs. Talk about you and fake caring when their managers are around. Since no sup has any insight on how to actually help make a worker improve there performance, they get praised for helping the person fail so they get fired thus no work actually spent helping any one improve, management condones this as there are unlimited people to replace you, so that's why the abysmal hi turn around rate, and low morale in the center."
"CaptionCall was an excellent place to work at while I was in college. The shifts available were flexible enough to allow me to work there and continue to go to school full-time. The culture at CaptionCall is one of service and integrity."
