2 Lead Hydraulic Plant Maintenance Technicians from Aerothrust submitted salaries.
AeroThrust is a leader in the engines maintenance and repair industry. The company got its start as Air Carrier Engine Services, Inc. in December of 1946 in Miami, Florida. AeroThrust founders William Bergstrom, George Snowden and John Fitzgibbon were former military men. They wanted to build a business based on their aircraft experience, and found a place on the grounds of the Miami International Airport. The company focused on servicing reciprocating engines, which it did for more than 20-years. New owners changed the name to AeroThrust in 1982.
AeroThrust no longer focuses on reciprocating engines, a change made in the mid-sixties. The focus switched to overhauling, repairing and maintaining Pratt & Whitney JT8D engines. The company repaired its first JT8D engine in 1967. When 1979 rolled around, the company had repaired 1,000 JT8D engines. In 2004, AeroThrust added the CFM56-3 and CFM56-7 to its list of engines serviced.
