"DelphI has excellent technology and has always been a leader in product innovation and in delivering quality products. Unfortunately, DelphI has gone through significant downsizing over the past ten years, and it may need some more before it becomes as competitive as it should be."

"The organization is very top heavy in managers and executives, inherited from parent GM, which minized advancement opportunity and the company's ability to compete in the marketplace."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Good management is absolutely critical to the success of the company, but micro-management is counter productive and destructive. Trust your employees to be the experts and help them break down the barriers that impede their progress. Good leadership includes guiding the product line and employees in a way that results in product competitiveness and market success."
