"Working in the VU photonics group has been amazing. Sharon Weiss is a super supportive advisor and there are great opportunities to learn about all aspects of photonics from design to fabrication and then to testing. Overall I would highly recommend this group for PhD research."
"My time at the VUMC in the Powers Brissova Lab was a wonderful experience in research. I worked there for two summers, and I learned so much. The staff there not only taught me about lab practices, science, research, and academia, but also about excellent professional values, integrity, and the importance of mentorship. I would recommend this lab for anyone that wants to work on the cutting edge of endocrinology research amongst some of the most talented and intelligent researchers I have had the pleasure of meeting."
