"Worked at Yelp for 1 year and a half. Culture is amazing. Repetitive daily tasks but prepares you for a future in sales."
"I liked Yelp but the people there are very childish and tell on you if you say anything that offends them even a little bit. Managers and directors do not see any other side of the story but the person who told on everyone."
"They don't really care about you"
"Yelp provides a great opportunity to sink your teeth in a tech-based company in the heart of San Francisco. With various departments and a multitude of resources, Yelp provides one with the reigns to start or jumpstart a career in tech. There are more lateral rather than upward opportunities to grow, however."
"Good company. It's a great start for any young sales professional with high aspirations. It throws you into the non-stop grind that is sales in general. In doing so, it shows you whether or not you are cut out for sales because of the constant pursuit of your monthly goals. It also helps you adjust your sales pitch to different types of industries."
"Yelp was a very fun place to work initially. However it became very impersonal and almost catty later on. I needed to leave and find some place I felt like I could be noticed and make a difference. When I ended up leaving, I felt like I was leaving a home. However I also felt disconnected from a lot of the coworkers as the company had become so large that it was impossible to know nearly everyone in the office environment. I would go back to them ONLY if I was part of the account management teams."
"I've worked at Yelp since January of this year, and have found it to be an amazing place in which to grow. I must admit, I wasn't 100% sure what I was getting myself into, but I was looking for a challenge and I definitely got it! They have an amazing training program, which has helped me to improve on my closing abilities. It's also given me confidence that I can grow in any role in which I fully dedicate myself."
"I worked for Yelp for three and a half years. I held numerous roles there and I’m very grateful for what I learned there. I worked with great managers who pushed me to further my skill set and challenge my incorrect beliefs. However, Seattle is my favorite city and I’m looking forward to being back!"
"I enjoyed yelp for the perks offered lol ke free food but this was mainly because they knew the job we did was hard. On top of that the business practices of the company are bad. They work hard to pay their employees the lowest possible commission which I can't stand for."
"Nice work environment, very fast-paced."
