What do you like about working at Xpedx?

"It's as close as you'll be to running your business but using the company's resources to finance it. Constantly challenging with new opportunities. Work hard and opportunities are there. Reinventing youself daily and finding new ways to beat the competition."

What don't you like about working at Xpedx?

"90% of my customers are in Juarez, Mexico. Border violence is at an all time high with more than 300 deaths a month. Constant alert to kidnapping and car jackings. My safety is always an issue."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Company should consider security escorts until violennce begins to decline."

"Sometimes there was red tape to go through and corporate not understanding that every market is different."

"Everything from management to general laborers."

"Learn appropriate management skills. management needs to learn the jobs and what it takes to do each one."

"The variety of equipment and skills I can learn and use. Excellent parent company for pay and benefits."

"Be ready to sell yourself, in whatever capacity you are interviewing. If it is for a sales position, read the fine print."

What don't you like about working at Xpedx?

"Our small division here in Boise has unique challenges. The xpedx business model is built around larger divisions and metropolitan areas, and doesn't quite fit our smaller area. Where certain procedures are mandated by xpedx corporate, it sometimes doesn't allow us to be a competitive as is necessary, hence why we have struggled in the Boise area. Additionally, because we have such a large product line, and I currently am the only person associated with the sale and service of equipment, I perform the duties of what are four different job descriptions in a larger division of xpedx. While I am very flexible, the opportunity to narrow my focus sounds somewhat appealing."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"To allow our smaller division the flexibility that would enable us to be competitive. We need the ability to work with our customers on their terms. They are the people with the money, and if we fail to take our lead from them, we not only will fail, we deserve to."

"High production, fast paced. Responsibility for entire warehouse inventory (warehouse #1=paper, warehouse #2 Office ' Industrial supplies and cleaners). Interaction and communication with customers, business and workers."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Make sure you can handle a fast paced, often high pressure, deadline orientated work environment. Also make sure you are willing to work sometimes 10-12 hour days."

What don't you like about working at Xpedx?

"Back orders, defective product returns and late scheduled deliveries."

"Always communicate effectively with your workers / staff. Acknowledge that there are acceptable margins of error."

"yes, to always listen and pay close attention, show your best positve attitude and always remain professional."

"When I had to call customers in regards to the double rewards program every month."

"When I had to call on customers and offered the double rewards program is like making anf obligating the customer to buy from the company."
